The song was born from a strong inspiration, which resists to the trends. It is enough to understand how much the Sorrentine and the Coast charm, from Vico Equense to Punta Campanella, from Seiano to Meta, has influences the “creative” and the thinkers. It is a glamour journey, the fascinating history of which is lost in time. At the time of the Emperor Tiberius, the reach Romans who found Capri too much crowded started to build majestic villas along the ridges of the peninsula. Places full of appeal. Virgil and Strabo wrote about them. Then, Torquato Tasso thought about strengthening the fame which pushed to these parts, over the years, Goethe and Lord Byron, Dumas and Verdi, Leopardi and Ibsen and so on. And after a storm of travelers of the Grand Tour, still many famous guests from the Rockefeller to the Royal Family of England, from Jacqueline Kennedy to Maria Callas, without forgetting Norman Douglas who wrote about the South as in (before the term was invented) a promotional spot. The succession of renowned presences continues between at times seaside scenarios, at times mountainous and terrestrial, made unique by the ridge of Lattari Mountains, passing through orange groves and lemon groves, with their real colours. No gourmet would like to be deprived of the Sorrentine lemons: much more than a natural souvenir, much more than a concentrate of vitamins, much more than a fruity reincarnation of our sun.
